Overview
This housing is built for modders who want flexibility and internal space for advanced projects. The MKII MAX rear housing is designed with additional internal space to support larger battery configurations, OEM slim hard drives, and optional taptic engine installations and fastens together with 4 fasteners instead of clips.
This rear shell is compatible with our MKII front housing (sold separately) and completes the enclosure for a full MAX build. We also have a MIN rear housing for those that want a smaller enclosure.

- Boxy Pixel MKII Front Housing (sold separately)

- Apple OEM housings
- Previous-generation Boxy Pixel housings

The MAX rear housing provides increased internal depth to accommodate our larger battery options.
Supports OEM Slim Hard Drive
Internal clearance allows for use of OEM slim hard drives as well as compatible storage solutions.
Taptic Engine Ready
The housing includes space for optional taptic engine installation, allowing future expansion if desired.
Extra Room for Modifications
This rear housing provides additional space for custom wiring, Bluetooth routing, battery upgrades, and other advanced modifications.
Built for those who like to experiment and expand their builds.
Installation Notes
Difficulty Level: Intermediate
Installation requires full disassembly of the iPod and pairing with a compatible MKII front housing.
Ensure all internal components are properly aligned before fastening the housing closed.
Work carefully to avoid pinching cables during assembly.
